Sadness came again on July 25, 1993 when Audrey lost her battle with cancer at the age of 80 years. She had been actively involved in the business until May when she decided on treatment to try to combat the disease. Like her late parents and husband she had served her community well in her two loves - her church and the Bowling Club. Her passing saw the end of an era as the last of the Stubbs family in the Sea Lake business district.

The second stage of renovations was carried out in 1994 with the painting in heritage colours of the verandah by Terry McEwan.

Part-time staff who assisted Keva and Lesley throughout the '90s included Jenny White [who had more 'comebacks' than Nellie Melba!], Loretta Francis, also making a 'comeback' and Annette Barbary, juniors Glenn Williams, Rosalie Alday, Angela Alday, Summer Stacey, Naomi Barbary, Stephen Barbary, Rene Ottrey and Stacey Ottrey and family members - Joel, Lauren, Fleur and John.

Loretta displayed her outstanding devotion to her employers and her job when she was left in charge of the business whilst Keva and Lesley were on a business trip away. One night she woke at 3 am full of doubt and worry that she hadn't locked the shop and engaged the alarm the night before. Charlie was out of town so no transport was available.
'Tec' donned an overcoat over her nighty and walked the length of the town only to find that she had indeed locked the shop and set the alarm!

    That's devotion!
